Temptation at The Savoy Hotel, London

Mar 02, 16 Temptation at The Savoy Hotel, London

The Savoy Hotel may be one of the oldest and most famous hotels in London (if not the world) but that doesn’t mean that they rest on their laurels.  I was invited to partake of a new menu recently introduced to the Thames Foyer. The Thames Foyer is dominated by a magnificent glass domed atrium which makes the room all the more enchanting and even a bit whimsical.  It’s also the setting for  Afternoon Tea which is served everyday.

However, it’s not only for Afternoon Tea. The Thames Foyer has now launched The Tempation Wheel and believe me, when you see it, you will be tempted to try everything ( I know I was). The wheel is a specially commissioned and made of polished mahogany and brass. The menus is divided into a painters palette of flavours, each dessert matched with a handmade chocolate and unique cockail.

Looking at the at wheel, it’s like an adult version of a kid in a candy shop. The desserts were created by the Savoy’s Executive Pastry Chef, Ludwig Hely and the cocktails by Chris Moore and the team at the Beaufort Bar.

Here are a few pics of the desserts and cocktails:
