Denise Medrano (aka The Winesleuth)

Who is The Winesleuth?

Denise Medrano is an American living in London. She has been in the London wine trade for over 9 years and began writing about wine after studying at a sommelier course in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After a year in Argentina, she landed back in the UK and  immediately began working in wine retail. At that time, she also studied at the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust and obtained the Advanced Certificate.  It was then that she realized that the world of wine in London was missing a blogging voice, one that talked about wine from an insider’s point of view. She decided to go beyond boring old wine reviews and discover the people and places behind the wine.

Since then, The Winesleuth has covered the world of wine in London and beyond. The Winesleuth focuses on wine travel, wine maker interviews and food and wine pairings. Denise is also available as a wine consultant and to conduct wine tastings. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries. My email is denise@thewinesleuth.co.uk
The Winesleuth especially likes the wine regions of France but she’s not averse to visiting wine regions around the world.  And, she never says no to a glass of champagne.

Do you feature South African Wines? We have some really stunning International Award Winning wines but somehow these do not get the attention they deserve. Some of our lesser know boutique Wineries are also producing some really stunning wines.

  6. Dear Denise,

I’d like to exchange links on our blogs. I feel that many of your readers would appreciate what my blog has to offer. Readers can use my site to find Wineries, wine bars etc. throughout North America. They can also follow my daily Video Vocabulary of Wine where we interview a winemaker or winery owner about a specific term used in the world of wine. The videos are being compiled to create the first ever video wine dictionary! Just for fun I’m also producing a new web series called “Just A Taste.” Each week we review one wine and give updates from the world of wine in a humorous format. You can watch a webisode here: http://www.winetrippingtv.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=36&Itemid=50

I sincerely believe that my blog is offering something new and unique in the world of wine!

If you would like to exchange links, please send me an email and I’ll get yours up on my blog roll right away.

    Thank you,
