London Outdoor Venues to get into the Summertime Vibe

May 29, 17 London Outdoor Venues to get into the Summertime Vibe

It looks like we may be getting summer this year. I certainly hope that last week wasn’t it for the Great British Summer!

With that in mind, I’m sure people are looking around for Summer Party venues. Over the past two weeks or so, I’ve been invited to a few places that would be ideal.

The well established Kensington Roof Top Gardens is a perennial favourite. Situated right on High St. Kensington, it’s easy to get to and is able to make you feel as though you have been transported outside of London.

The rooftop is quite extensive and divided up into 3 distinct parts, with a bar/ dance floor, garden and open patio for seated dinners. Fabulous place for a summertime event.

For those of you in East London, Tobacco Docks is also outfitted with a summertime rooftop bar. The Skylight Rooftop Bar is now open and will be offering croquet and petanque along with cocktails and some of London’s best street food.

Covering 3 levels of the docks, each floor will have a a bar focusing on summertime drinks. Laurent Perrier will be available for those who fancy bubbles or you can pop over to the Blue Moon lounge and sky terrace for cider, beer and other concoctions.

Skylight is open Thursday & Friday from 5pm to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 11pm.

Heading towards Canary Wharf, I recently attended the launch of the Anna on the Thames.

Anna de Codorniu is bringing a bit of Barcelona to the Terrace at the Doubletree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside this summer. Guests will be able to sip on a range of Codorniu’s cavas while nibbling away on Spanish tapas, all right next to the Thames.

We took the ferry from Embankment for a lovely sunset cruise down the Thames. While cruising we quaffed Anna de Codorniu all the way there, too bad it was only a 20 minute ride.

The terrace is right on the river across from Canary Wharf, needless to say, there are great views and a complimentary ferry service from Canary Wharf to the hotel. The Terrace is open all summer  for your drinking and dining pleasure. Mon – Thurs, 4pm – 11pm, Fri – Sun, 12pm – 11pm.
